Designed as a symbol of Dubai's transformation, this iconic 60-story / 1,060 ft. tall hotel is the world's second tallest building used exclusively as a hotel. This building cost approximately US$650 Million and is located on an artificial island 900 ft. off the coast of Jumeriah Beach. The hotel's shape is reminiscent of the sails of a dhow, which is a type of arabian vessel.
