What is the FISP law?

New York City’s “Façade Inspection Safety Program” (FISP), also known as Local Law 11, requires that owners of buildings taller than six stories retain a professional to inspect the exterior walls and file a report with the city in five-year cycles. In February 2020, the DOB announced additional requirements for the 9th Cycle, including expanded hands-on inspections, investigative probes, and posting of a building’s facade status.

How we help

With nearly 50 years as an industry leader in building envelope consulting, our team of experienced architects and engineers will ensure that building facades are safe and compliant with city mandates. CDC’s services include QEWI inspections, technical reports, and testing. We also produce contract documents, perform Special Inspections, and assist owners with repair programs to remediate facade conditions.

CDC is SPRAT-certified, which means we can reach even the most difficult areas of buildings to perform inspections by rope, often faster and at a lower cost than conventional scaffolding.

Let CDC know how we can assist with your LL11 FISP project!
