American Stores Headquarters

A unique structural glass enclosure was used for the pedestrian bridge linking office tower to parking garage; Pilkington Planar fittings were used to attach ½” thick face plates and ¾” thick laminated roof plates to tempered glass fins. Moment connections were used to assemble the glass fins into rigid frames that are suspended from the curved structural steel tubes.
