Project Description

A unique structural glass enclosure was used for the pedestrian bridge linking office tower to parking garage; Pilkington Planar fittings were used to attach 1/2" thick face plates and 3/4" thick laminated roof plates to tempered glass fins. Moment connections were used to assemble the glass fins into rigid frames that are suspended from the curved structural steel tubes. This project included the first elevated pedestrian bridge in Salt Lake City with canted glass side walls and a segmented glass roof.
