Project Description

This 300,000 square-foot, $103-million, county courthouse will house 32 courtrooms and has been designed to achieve LEED Gold certification once completed. The facade has two monumental curtain wall systems and a strip window system. These systems are two-side structural silicone sealant supported. The curtain wall at the third to seventh floors has three depths of horizontally projected sun shades.

Scope of Services

CDC provided structural calculations for the unitized curtain wall systems and sunshades. Along with curtain wall design and engineering, CDC also provided consulting and field services during the construction administration phase of this project.
