Project Description

The glazing system consists of a vertically captured special laminated glass lite that is dead loaded at the jambs. The special laminated glass is 1-1/8" thick with a reflective stripes and a specular patterned glass to diffuse light from banks of LEDs. The Bridge pylon has four vertical columns of glass that is lit from behind. The LEDs can produce millions of colors to light the pylon quadrants for the "Glass City Skyline".

Scope of Services

CDC designed and engineered the glazing system for Figg Bridge. CDC also performed regular observations for ODOT/Figg Bridge and water tested the installed work. Work was performed year-round in all Northwestern Ohio weather conditions.
