American Stores Headquarters Salt Lake City, UT CDC provided a complete scope of curtain wall consulting services to the Architect/Owner for the bridge as well as the office tower. Services provided included design development and specifications, full-scale performance mockup testings and job-site observation. A unique structural glass enclosure was used for the pedestrian bridge linking office tower to parking garage; Pilkington Planar fittings were used to attach ½” thick face plates and ¾” thick laminated roof plates to tempered glass fins. Moment connections were used to assemble the glass fins into rigid frames that are suspended from the curved structural steel tubes. CDC Client / Architect : HKS, Inc.
