Project Description

A 43-story, luxury condominium with an extraordinary unitized curtain wall façade. The clear glass was chosen to enhance the crystalline shape of the building and the prismatic design gathers light while optimizing views of the New York skyline. The façade features many plane changes and transitions with several types of fritted glass to soften the building's reflectivity. Residences feature an unobstructed, 360-degree view of the Manhattan Skyline. 400 Park Avenue South is considered a "living work of art" that is a skyline changing building. The base of the building is designed to provide grand entries from two streets.

Scope of Services

CDC's scope of services included the unitized curtain wall faced shop drawings, inventor model, structural calculations, and fabrication drawings for metal and glass.
