Project Description

The 14-story Richard H. Poff Federal Building, is an ARRA-funded recladding for the General Services Administration Region 3. When completed, the building will feature a unitized glass and aluminum curtain wall system with integral sunshades at the southern exposure, and metal panel overcladding of precast elements at the building base and crown. The existing facade will be removed and new facade installed while the building is still occupied. The upgrades will improve building energy performance, increase daylighting of interior spaces and create a crisp, new presence on the Roanoke skyline.
