This luxury, high-rise residential tower, located adjacent to the Dubai World Trade Center, features two different wings, 30 and 40 stories respectively, clad with a unitized curtain wall system that incorporates glass and composite aluminum panels within a single aluminum framing system. Lower areas of the facade and plaza feature a point-supported all-glass facade system, and natural stone cladding accented by aluminum punched windows.
CDC provided consulting services for the curtain wall and point-supported glazing systems. Services included technical design consulting to the architect during system selection, specification writing and review of details for incorporation into architectural documents. CDC also provided technical review of bid documents from subcontractors, technical review of mock-up and project shop drawings, structural calculations and product information submissions; mock-up testing witnessing in Dubai, and on-site observations of facade system installation and field water testing.
